Item # SA-006
Large Early Victoria Austria Console Bowl-Reticulated Panels

This lovely set is Bavarian Schuman from Germany in a hand painted flower pattern, in silver, and rimmed in silver as well. There are many pieces of this set, and I have listed them in groups. This dates from the early 1900's. Some of the pieces are same pattern, different companies, which are noted in the description. This fabulous 10 1/4" with a 3" slope, has 8 panels. Four are concave, and four are convex, showing a 3" wide by 2" high lustre section of reticulation. During the application of the lemon yellow lustre on the outside of the bowl, there appears to be some over lustre which has attached itself on the final glaze of the bottom of the bowl. This is not a rust stain, as you can see the identical lustre and color in an adjacent panel. There are four hand painted silver flowers painted on the inside of the bowl, the shaped edge has been painted as well as the foot of the bowl. On the bottom you can see the green mark with Victoria, a crown and Austria.

If you wish to purchase the entire set, the price will be adjusted appropriately. Please let me know if you wish extra photos of the marks, or pieces. Please inquire about costs of shipping.

This wonderful scalloped bowl has a silver painted bow at the back, and the 5 notched and ruffled edge around the 3" deep bowl is also painted with silver. The base follows the design, and is marked 'Alice', 'JHR', and 'Bavaria' in green. This bowl measures 9" long and 8" wide. There is a beautiful spray of delicate flowers on the inside. The outside of the bowl is covered in a cream and pink lustre. The bowl is in excellent condition.

All pieces are in very good condition, no cracks, chips, splits, but there is some loss of the silver paint on the rim on a few plates and on a few of the flowers the silver has faded.
